parsnip juice

Parsnip juice. Parsnip (Pastinaca sativa) is a vegetable whose root is very similar to the carrot, but cream in color.

It is a biennial plant and produces a stem with many branched seeds and small greenish-white flowers on a somewhat flattened head.

Its leaves are long and with many divisions. Parsnip is native to Europe and also to some ancient cultures.

Parsnip Juice Benefits and Recipes

Healing properties

One large parsnip contains these minerals and vitamins: 72 mg of calcium, 99 mg of phosphorus, 1 mg of iron, 13 mg of sodium, 606 mg of potassium, 50 international units of vitamin A, 16 mg of vitamin C and 40 mg of magnesium.

Kidney stones. The kidney stones are hard, like stones deposits can develop anywhere in the urinary tract. They are composed of organic substances and minerals and vary in size from the equivalent of a grain of sand to that of a golf ball. They develop when the salt and minerals contained in the urine form accumulations of crystals.

If you combine a quarter of parsnip juice with three-quarters of any liquid chlorophyll and take this combination periodically, these smaller crystals will begin to separate on their own and be eliminated through the urine. These juices will not work, with larger, long-standing stones. Kidney stones appear to be more common in people who eat a lot of meat and drink a lot of coffee or soda

Parsnips reach their best flavor once they have been exposed to cold weather. If stored in a cool, damp area or refrigerator, they have an incredibly long shelf life. Parsnips can be used with carrots in stews or soups.

The quality of parsnips should be judged in the same way that carrots are judged. Select ones that are firm, look fresh, and have no cuts or nicks.

Medium-sized parsnips are preferable to very small or very large ones. Avoid discolored (that is, brown rather than cream) and those that look battered and flabby.
