Masticating vs Centrifugal Juicers

Cold Press Vs Centrifuge Which One Suits Me?

When buying a blender you have to take into account the differences between these two different blender models Masticating vs Centrifugal Juicers that dominate the market. I have already talked carefully about each of these types of blenders separately, so here I will only focus on what marks the main differences of both juice extractors.

Quality Of Juice Or Juice Extracted

For me, the most important point, and as such, deserves to be the first thing analyzed in these blenders is the quality of the juice that is obtained after use. I don’t know about you, but I like to have the purest juice possible, and that means having as few traces of pulp inside it.

In this aspect, the winning blender par excellence is without a doubt the cold press blenders since with its internal operation the most optimal result is achieved. Thanks to the design of the slow-speed juice extractors, all the juice from the ingredients is achieved. Meanwhile, all the pulp is extracted and completely separated.

On the other hand, centrifugal blenders also do a good job separating the pulp, but they cannot separate completely. That is, with a  you wil centrifuge blenderl notice traces of the blended foods.

Personally I do not find the feeling of pulp remains unpleasant. But if I can avoid them, the better. If someone in your house does not like to notice “nothing” in the drink, without a doubt the cold pressing is the best option you can take

Noise Level

Another section to consider is the level of noise generated. If you are going to use it like me in the morning, if there are people sleeping the noise level is something to consider before buying a blender. Therefore, it deserves a comparative section between both models.

In this section, the winner par excellence is the cold juice extractor. Thanks to its pressing system that it uses to liquefy the pieces of fruit, the noise, although it still exists, is much lower. The liquidity working speed of centrifugal models makes the noise considerably higher.

In this section, the winning model is cold pressing with a lot of difference.

Working Time

Just as speed increases noise, it also reduces the wait until you can drink your rich juice. Precisely for this reason in this section there is little to say. Here the press blenders are at a disadvantage, a centrifuge works much faster, sacrificing silence and a greater presence of pulp.

If you are one of those who prefer to take a short time because they do not mind the pulp that may be left, the spin is the one that wins .

Fruit Size

In general, a section that can go unnoticed and without more importance. I like to cut the pieces into small pieces because I feel that this is better, but more for my hobby than for real need.

It is sufficient in both cases to cut the pieces of the size similar to the blender hopper you use. In the case of centrifuges, larger pieces can usually be introduced, while pressing pieces need smaller pieces of fruit.

Price

Finally, the price of a blender is noteworthy. Although they are cheap appliances, there is a difference between the two models of juicers or juicers that exist. In this case the cheap blenders are the centrifuges, this is because they are simpler models. The prices are quite similar, the difference is really around € 30 on average, which does not seem excessive after all.

If you don’t mind feeling the pulp, or the noise and you’re going to buy a blender for the first time and you don’t know if it’s going to convince you, then you can throw in a centrifuge.

Personally I recommend a cold pressing (or slow blender) since the price difference is not really important, and the quality of the juice is more than enough to cover the difference.
