How to make waffles step by step

Sweet waffles recipe

  1. For the sweet waffle dough In a bowl we are going to put the whole wheat flour together with the self-rising flour. We add a teaspoon of salt and also the sweetener or sugar depending on what they prefer to use. We mix, incorporating all our powders well.
  2. To this, we are going to add an egg and half of the total amount of milk. We also add a splash of vanilla essence that will give a special flavor to these sweet waffles. We mix until everything is well incorporated.
  3. Once it is incorporated, we will gradually incorporate the rest of the milk, mixing until incorporated between a splash. We only have to add the melted butter and once everything is well mixed, we are going to take it to the refrigerator for half an hour so that the flour is well hydrated and the mixture is very thick.
  4. After this time, we are going to remove the mixture from the refrigerator and we are going to prepare our waffle maker (or failing that, a frying pan on the fire, they do not remain in the waffle shape but they are done perfectly.) Salty waffles recipe

  1. For the salty waffle batter, the first thing we are going to do is place the self-rising flour in a bowl, along with salt and dehydrated garlic. We add pepper, mixed seeds and chopped parsley. We mix.
  2. To this mixture we are going to add 1 egg and half of the milk. We mix well again and then add the rest of the milk. We are also going to add the melted butter and then beat until they are all well together. We take the refrigerator for 30 minutes. This is key for the waffles to come out perfect, the batter has to be cold.
  3. We prepare the waffle iron with the vegetable spray or the butter and after the rest time, we remove the mixture and place it inside (you can also use a pan, and place the mixture back and forth, the same as before).
  4. Once cooked, it only remains to remove them and taste them with what they prefer the most. If you are adventurous like me, you can try adding cream cheese when you take it to the waffle iron or skillet to melt inside! I swear it is the glory.
