To make juice of Kumquat with the juice extractor, just add ten whole kumquats and extract the juice, which corresponds to about 1 glass of juice. If the juice is too thick, you can add water to dilute it a little and possibly a little sugar to soften its acidity.
If you don’t have a juice extractor, don’t worry, you can easily make juice without this device. One solution is to cook the kumquats in water with added sugar for about 30 minutes, then pass them through a grinder. You can then choose to filter the juice thus obtained, in order to remove all the pulp.
Another simpler way to do this is to cut the kumquats in half and press each half with a lime press. You can then add a little sugar and lemon juice. The advantage of this method is that it is quick and easy, but you only harvest the juice and lose all the vitamins and benefits contained in the skin which is edible. The best technique is therefore to use a juice extractor to preserve all the nutrients.
Although this juice is very good, since it offers a delicious exotic taste, it is often combined with other fruits, which give it other flavors.
We can combine kumquat with grapefruit for example (ratio of 1 grapefruit for 5 kumquats), to make a very energetic juice that is good for health; or with pears and ginger (ratio of 1 pear for 6 kumquats); or even tangerines (ratio of 4 tangerines for 10 kumquats). Alternatively, you can make a smoothie by mixing kumquats, apples, a banana and a yogurt.
Some cocktails are made with kumquat juice and offer amazing mixes like orange juice, kumquat juice, kiwi liqueur and lychee liqueur.

Fresh juice of Kumquat will keep in the refrigerator for less than 24 hours. It is recommended to drink the juice immediately after preparing it, in order to retain all the beneficial properties for health and the body.
